The client wanted to create an application for crowdsourcing the coolest nightclub for a particular night.
The goal was to enable celebrities, artists and social media stars to make their picks for the nightclubs they were going to visit to allow followers to join in. This would in turn create opportunities for promotions and partnerships between the users and venues.
My role was to design the application and manage its development, as well as assist the client with the planning of the service.

The project was a challenging and enjoyable effort in designing a product in a highly competitive social space. With Ulos, it was more crucial than ever for me to produce a fine-tuned and effortless user experience for consumer users known for their limited attention span. The work also provided me with important insights on how to structure development in logical milestones and keeping the scope manageable.
The project presented many specific challenges, such as getting Ulos permitted to utilize Instagram login API, defining 'nightclubs' for Google Maps and working around some limitations of hybrid apps.
Whereas COVID has made it unfeasible to launch Ulos in planned schedule, I'm expecting it to make waves soon!
